Travel south toward Udawalawe, home to one of Sri Lanka’s most famous elephant populations. After settling in, board your open-top jeep for an unforgettable afternoon safari. Spot herds of elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, eagles, deer, and more across vast open plains bathed in golden light.

Start your morning with a visit to the elephant transit home to witness rescued baby elephants being milk-fed before they are rehabilitated back into the wild. Afterwards, drive toward the laid-back south coast and settle into Weligama or Mirissa. Enjoy a relaxed beach evening with sunset views.

Leave the south coast behind and journey back toward Colombo, passing palm plantations, coastal towns, and ocean viewpoints. Stop for snacks or a few last photos along the way before settling into your hotel. Your final evening is free to explore Colombo’s lively streets, seaside promenades, or warm cafés — a gentle way to end your Sri Lankan adventure.
