Is Thailand safe for honeymoon travelers?

Thailand is generally very safe for tourists and is one of Southeast Asia's most welcoming destinations for couples. The country has excellent tourist infrastructure, friendly locals, and low crime rates in popular tourist areas. Common sense precautions like avoiding excessive drinking, keeping valuables secure, and staying in well-reviewed accommodations are usually sufficient.

At Honeymoon Tours, we carefully select all our partner hotels and resorts to ensure they meet high safety and security standards. Our Thailand tour packages include private transportation and stays at top-rated properties, giving you added peace of mind during your romantic getaway.

For health preparations, check our guide on recommended vaccines for Thailand travel and consider getting travel insurance for complete coverage during your honeymoon.

When should I book my Thailand honeymoon for the best rates?

Booking your Thailand honeymoon 3-6 months in advance typically offers the best availability and rates for luxury accommodations. Peak season (November-March) requires earlier booking for the best properties and prices.

We occasionally offer special tour deals and can advise on the best timing based on your budget and travel preferences. Our packages provide consistent value year-round, but early booking ensures you get your first choice of romantic accommodations and experiences.

When is the best time to visit Thailand for a honeymoon?

The ideal time for a honeymoon in Thailand is between November and early April. During these months, the weather is generally dry and sunny. For more detailed insights, check out our guide on the Best Time to Visit.

Is there WiFi throughout the trip?

WiFi is available at all accommodations during the trip.

Does it matter if I arrive before my starting date?

No problem at all - just make sure to arrive at the hotel for the starting date of the tour! We can arrange early night’s accommodation at the hotel and airport transfer or provide easy-to-use directions for getting from the airport to our hotel where there are many other accommodation options if you prefer to shop around for pricing.

Do I need to submit the full payment to reserve my spot on a tour?

Not at all! The deposit confirms your place on the tour. We kindly ask that you provide the remaining balance no less than 60 days before your tour begins.

Can I pay off my tour in installments?

Yes! After placing your deposit, you can pay off the tour in installments of your choosing and at your convenience. The final remaining balance is due at least 60 days before your tour is set to begin.

Should I bring cash to exchange or are there ATMs?

Both! There are ATM machines throughout the tour in nearly every location we visit. There is usually a currency exchange fee and most banks will charge a processing fee. For this reason, we suggest withdrawing however much you feel you will need on tour (explained above) when using the machines. The more you use the ATMs the more fees you will pay. For currency exchange, there are kiosks throughout the airport when you land and also opportunities in Bangkok once you arrive at the hotel. These kiosks accept all major currencies from Western countries. You can also exchange at home before you arrive but the exchange fee is usually higher. The cheaper option is to use an ATM card but currency exchange is also readily available. Just make sure to let your bank know you plan to travel abroad so they do not lock your account when they see a sudden overseas withdrawal.
